Llanarmon-yn-Ial

Llanarmon-yn-Ial

For the first of our two cycle rides, while staying in Chester, we put together a hilly route. The idea being we would cycle to the Welsh village of Eryrys. In the end, due to circumstances, we would cycle a little further, to the village of Llanarmon-yn-Ial instead. It was a fine spring morning when we left Chester and crossed the border into Saltney. We crossed over the River Dee. Then followed NCN Route 568, the cycle path alongside the…

Stretford to Chester

Stretford to Chester

On the horizon is our Hebridean Way cycle tour. With that in mind, four of us decided on a short cycling weekend to Chester. To get some cycling miles in, so to speak. South Manchester Parks

After turning into Fog Lane, our next park was, appropriately enough, Fog Lane Park….

Instead, Andy S took over the ride leader duties, and I filled in as the back leader. It was a fine, though cool Sunday morning when we met at…

Not the A6 Ride

Not the A6 Ride

Occasionally, we put together an unusual themed Stockport Community Cycling Club ride. This Not the A6 ride wasn’t certainly one of them. An urban ride, it followed the A6 up one side and down the other. To add to the mix, Sarah was due to lead the second group for this ride but an injury put paid to that, so I stepped in. We met at CERAcycloan. We began by working our way through the edge of Offerton. Then up…
