Sunday was the the Stockport Community Cycling Club Peover Heath ride. This was a longer ride than we often do, being about 45 miles. Andy was the ride leader and I was the back leader for the day. Pennine Cycleway Day 4 – Alston to Orton

Pennine Cycleway – Day 4 took us from Alston to Orton. We had stayed overnight at the Youth Hostel in Alston. They have red squirrels in the trees behind the hostel. The first climb of the day took us to the summit of Hartside.     At the summit,  there is a cafe which does excellent cake! The climb was followed by a good long downhill.
