Friday was our Lochs and Glens South Day 5 trip where we cycled from Ayr to Dalgarven. Wednesday was our Lochs and Glens South Day 3. We left Castle Douglas and headed out along NCN route 7 initially to Kirkcudbright, passing the loch on the outskirts of Castle Douglas. Kirkcudbright was a nice little town with a castle and harbour. We stopped off for a coffee, except for Tracey who went for some shopping. Monday was our Lochs & Glens South Day 1, the first day of our cycling tour. We got the train to Carlisle. Day 1 saw us cycle from Carlisle to Annan. Wednesday was our Way of the Roses 2017 Day 4 – York to Hutton Cranswick. However, there were things to do before we left. Tuesday was our Way of the Roses 2017 Day 3 – Pateley Bridge to York. We left Pateley Bridge and it was basically straight uphill! Once we reached Brimham Rocks, the worse of the hills were done although there were plenty of undulations along the way. We then continued on to Fountains Abbey.
